I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”John 16:33 NLT. God desires your life to be full of perfect peace. For many today, this is a far-reaching idea or an unattainable thing. Yet it is real for others who have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ.
Before Jesus ended His ministry on earth, one thing He promised the whole of humanity was perfect peace but not everyone is experiencing this kind of peace. There is so much war, violence, disease, abuse, slavery, poverty, and subjection in the world today.
It is something not far from reality, but very close to you. Just turn on your news TV channel and you’ll be right in the middle of it. Humanity has been subject to all kinds of disadvantages, yet there are also advantages to be enjoyed in life.
People need peace and so do nations
One reason this peace is not being experienced by some is that they have rejected the existence of the Lord Jesus Christ in their life. Most of the world has rejected him, yet He is the one who has the peace. If you are having trouble in your life and dream of living a worry-free life, look to Jesus Christ. There is no other place to find it.
If you asked me what the secret to perfect peace for the world was today, I would say this same thing to you as much as I would to a news anchor on CNN, BBC, or Al Jazeera news. The world needs peace now more than ever, and only in Jesus Christ can that peace be found.
Even national peace can only be experienced when Jesus Christ is accepted in a nation. When the leader of a nation doesn’t acknowledge the existence of the Lord Jesus Christ and uphold His teachings and principles for leadership. That nation is in trouble. Just search and see where most wars are happening today.
That is why Jesus said, “so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows.”, John 16:33.
Anyone looking for it, any nation looking for it in any other place other than Jesus Christ, will have trouble and sorrow. They would never find nor experience it. If you aren’t living a life as peaceful as you would like it to be, this is your answer.
Jesus promised perfect peace for all humanity
Jesus is not only the answer for you but He is the answer for your, community, family, marriage, business, children, etc. You need to let Jesus into that community, marriage, family, business, country, and your life.
When you begin to do this, you will begin to live a life that is peaceful, worry-free, and stress-free. He is the best stress reliever I know. Better than any sedative or painkiller invented by humanity.
The Lord Jesus Christ promised that whoever came to him, would have peace like no other, in a measure that not even the world can give. He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14: 27
I found that He was not lying to us. This peace is very real, and I have lived through it. I have seen many who can testify to it also.
So if you have searched elsewhere, it’s clear now that you won’t find it there. Come to Jesus. Live in Him, accept him as your Lord and Savior, and start living in perfect peace. The only way one can be IN HIM and experience perfect peace is by accepting Him into their life. Without this, they are in the world Jesus was talking about, and that equals trials and sorrows.
Maybe you know someone who has been experiencing trials and sorrows. You know someone that needs to hear this message. Let them know about Jesus because in Him they shall have peace. In this world, they will experience trials and sorrows, but in accepting and living life in Jesus they are assured to overcome everything this world faces.
