There is so much good that has happened in our lives so much so that we ought to pause at times and reflect on the good things. Especially when the world is so zoned in on the bad things taking place. Everyone has something good to look back on and acknowledge God for.
This kind of recognition is called acknowledging.
To Acknowledge according to my Google dictionary means,
1. To accept or admit the existence or truth of.
2. To recognize the importance or quality of.
Friends need acknowledging, spouses need acknowledging, leaders need acknowledging, children need acknowledging, you need acknowledging, and God also needs acknowledging.
When you acknowledge someone or an effort they have put into something, you motivate them to do better.
Likewise, when you pray and acknowledge God and what He has done in your life before you are accepting, admitting his existence despite all that is happening. You are saying to Him, God you are more important than all these things, and your qualities to do good far outweigh what is happening right here right now.
As a result, God will show you what to do next, despite what is happening around you. So today, remind God when you pray, thank Him and acknowledge Him for what He has done to this day and let Him direct your paths onto greater things.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
