An effective prayer life so powerful to change your life

Effective prayer is crucial, as demonstrated in the Old Testament when the children of God faced many adversaries, including the Egyptians, a representation of spiritual forces. In the Bible, God teaches us how to deal with such forces through prayer. As stated in Luke 18:1 KJV, “And He spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Egyptians represented forces that are set up against God’s people to stop them from enjoying life and being joyful people. forces that would subject me to a form of slavery and bondage. Yet today that same force of opposition can be sickness, poverty, depression, and many more.

These “Egyptians” have no place in your future. All you need to do is to get hold of the word of God. Trust the word of God, and things will have to turn around in your favor because If it kills and if it destroys or takes away then that problem is not usually coming from God. John 10:10

Our prayer does not change or make God better, it betters us and our lives. If you have been facing many Egyptians that have made your life difficult, then it’s time for a change, and this change can come by effective prayer if you are willing to push for the manifestation of God’s power in your life.

2 Samuel 5:12 KJV “And David perceived that the Lord had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake.”

It dawned on David that He was established King of Israel by God. Has it dawned on you as to who you really are? That there is a better life than the one you living right now. Change does not just happen in life. Change begins with the realization. it has to dawn on you that the life you are currently living is not the best life, then you begin to seek God for direction and change.

Hannah did not have a child, but it dawned on her that she had to have a child. “Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the Lord.  And she made this vow: “O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut.” 1 Samuel 1:10-11 NLT. She used effective prayer to change things in her life, and God answered her.

For a major change to happen there has to be a desire in you to change. A fervent desire for a higher level of life. Wherever you are and whatever it is. Elijah prayed that it would not rain and it rained not, and also prayed that rain would return, after a long time of famine, and kept praying until he saw the change coming.

“Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.” James 5:17-18 NIV This is how you pray effectively. As long as the change has not come yet, commit yourself to prayer. As the Lord Jesus instructed us in Luke 18:1

Even God said to Moses at one time. Tell my people, they have been here for to long. It took a Man of God to deliver a Message from God for the people to awaken to the need for progress.Desire change for the better, no matter how you might feel about life right now. If an area in your life is not going according to God’s will, in His word, dedicate time to change it with effective prayer.

1 Peter 3:12 – “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” and 1 John 5:15 – “And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”

Effective prayer works when you are stirred to see a change

How stirred are you to get a hold of God? When you are stirred then you can start praying. You will go after it. You have to be stirred for a change to take place.

King Hezekiah got a message from the Prophet about his imminent death, but even he had a desire to live. He did not simply accept the prophecy. He faced the wall and He prayed and got a hold of God. He was stirred to live longer and not accept what came his way.

What have you accepted in life that you know is not how things should be?

“Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight.” 2 Kings 20:1-11.

When you beseech the Lord, it means you are: to ask in a serious and emotional way according to the bible definition in the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

You cannot accept the status quo but always be stirred to live better. Don’t let things remain as they are. Isaac’s wife could not have children. He prayed that God would bless them with children. He prayed and God answered, “Isaac pleaded with the LORD on behalf of his wife because she was unable to have children. The LORD answered Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins.” Genesis 25:21 NLT

It doesn’t matter if you pray and things don’t happen immediately. Don’t Give up! Remember, Jesus said, Men, ought always to pray and not faint.

Let your earnest heartfelt continued prayer make tremendous power available dynamic in its working, James 5:16

God bless

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ who died for my sins on the cross. I believe that He is the Son of God, who died, was raised, and lives today. I confess all my sins. Forgive me, Lord. From today, I surrender my life to You and take on the life of Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
