One thing I like about living life in Jesus Christ is that it is not as difficult as most people make it. Yes! believing in God, with Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour is much easier than life without Him. It is a life lived with the help of God.
The only time it becomes difficult is when we think we need to accomplish this and that to please God or worse still do life without Him. Life in Christ is more spiritual than it is physical. Yet our human default tends to accomplish things first through physical effort and then, by thinking of spiritual application later.
Why do we always want to pray at the last minute when all our efforts have failed? Thank God for his mercy because even at such times, He still reaches out His hand to save us, and help us through.
However, what shows you how important spiritual things are is that the thought of accomplishing that thing came first in your mind before you began working on it. Thoughts are spiritual whether they are good thoughts or evil thoughts.
When you want to accomplish something in your life, you must determine how you will accomplish it with the help of God. If you believe in God, and Jesus is your lord and saviour then whatever you try to do, needs to be by the power of the Spiritual life that you now have inside you.
If you don’t believe in Him life will always have difficult turns for you. Only because Jesus said that whatever you try to accomplish outside of a life surrendered to God’s will for you will be difficult, Matthew 11:28-29 KJV. God wants us to do everything, for His purpose and His glory, Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV.

Anything you try to accomplish in life will be difficult, without faith and prayer. Faith and prayers made to the Father are the keys that activate the spiritual power of God in your life.
The most you can ever accomplish depends on your reverence and acknowledgement of God, by faith and prayer.
There is only so much that we can accomplish in 24 hours of each day. However, when it comes to fulfilling God’s purpose in your life you can achieve a lot more when you begin to acknowledge the help of God that comes from the Holy Spirit and what He can do in and through you, as you pray and believe.
How Zerubbabel got the help of God
A man was on an assignment from God, and here came God’s word through a messenger (Angel) who told him how what he was trying to accomplish could not be done by mere human strength. What God told him afterwards should be a sign for you and me that whatever we try to do, should always be by the power of God’s spirit and not our power.
Zerubbabel was on God’s assignment and he was doing things with hard work and sweat, and God wanted Him to take a different approach. Zechariah 4:5-10 MSG shows us the conversation he had with the angel.
“Then I asked the Messenger-Angel, “What does this mean, sir?” The Messenger-Angel said, “Can’t you tell?” “No, sir,” I said. Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel, you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!’”
After that, the Word of God came to me: “Zerubbabel started rebuilding this Temple and he will complete it. That will be your confirmation that God-of-the-Angel-Armies sent me to you. Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They’ll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place!”
Get the help of God to be successful
To accomplish anything, we must do it by His Spirit and not our effort because it makes things so much easier when God is involved from the start. The only reason Zerrubabel was going to succeed was that God had backed Him in the mission he had to accomplish.
It’s time to pray and commit your plans unto God, acknowledge Him in everything and you will be able to complete “building your temple”. God will see to it that you lay the last stone in place. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3
The Bible says, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it’s the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19: 21 . You can’t force anything in life. It has to have a green light from God, or else! If it’s by the spirit of God, it tends to be safe and fulfilling too.
God blesses the work of your hands, and one way to identify this blessing is that your work produces results that do not add more sorrow to your life, but joy and fulfilment. The question is are you fulfilled at all? if not, don’t force things, instead do life with the help of God.
