I remember a time in my life when I thought, I was done. I wasn’t suicidal, I was stuck. At that moment, I just did not know where to go from where I was. Day after day I woke up to a routine that looked nothing like my life. I was depressed. I was deep and did not know how to get out. Somehow because of my faith, I knew things would get better, but did not know how to move forward, mentally and physically.
I looked to the people closest to me hoping someone would spiritually “pick out” my silent screams without me ashamedly admitting to depression. I had tried it before only to be met with mockery, and I wasn’t prepared to go through that emotional roller coaster again! And so I prayed that someone would see through the cracks and care enough to ask if I was ok. And when no one did, right there I felt an overwhelming peace knowing I had God. Just God, when no one else was.
Maybe you feel like no one is there with you at the most critical time in your life. Maybe ever since you have gone into hiding, no one even notices that you are hiding. Or after hearing God speak and taking a bold step, everything seems to be falling apart and you feel alone. Even when your support system is busy, God is there. Man will fail you, they will never meet all your expectations, but God assures you today that He is right there with you. He is not going anywhere. Be encouraged today no one that even when nothing seems to work, God is right there with you. Call out to Him!
