See it the way God sees it

There is a way in which God sees us through situations in our lives that sometimes require us to think at the God level, and not the human level. When something bad happens to you or someone you know normally you become curious to know why it happened the way it did.

While I was meditating the other day about how God operates, I realised that God does not operate at the reasoning level as people do most times. I know the bible says that if you believe in Jesus Christ, and he lives inside you through your new life in Him, then you have the mind of Christ, 1 Corinthians 2:16.

However there are times when we don’t think this way about life, especially when faced with difficult situations, this is why God wants us to pray about everything. Philippians 4:6-7 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

God sees with an eternal plan in mind

People always want to find THE REASON why something happened the way it did. However, God on the other hand is multifaceted. He is not thinking at the level of why it happened the way it happened, but He is seeing the reason why it shouldn’t have happened because of what lay ahead. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. All-powerful, all-knowing, and all-seeing.

God sees and judges situations based on an eternal plan that He has for every one of us. It could be in your career, marriage, business, family, country, or even the world over. Everything that happens in our lives, does not happen for one reason or the other, it happens for many reasons that fit together into God’s eternal plan for mankind.

Maybe you were aiming to get married at a certain age or time or to a certain person and it never happened. It wasn’t because God did not want you to marry that person, it wasn’t because you were not good enough for them either. Oh! it was because God had a better plan, and if you married that person, you would not have enjoyed the better plan.

In other situations perhaps a business failed, you did not finish school, your family or loved one died and you struggled with that also. God is sovereign! He has a reason for everything and turns everything for your good even when satan meant it to be for your evil, Romans 8:28.

God sees with His manifold wisdom

From the scriptures in the bible, we see that God uses a multifaceted approach. The Bible talks about the manifold wisdom of God, Ephesians 3:10-12 KJV, which He wanted all of us to have about Jesus Christ’s purpose, His eternal plan for mankind.

Specifically, Ephesians 3:10 says, “So that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”

From the scriptures, in the bible, we see that God uses a multifaceted approach. The Bible talks about the manifold wisdom of God. When I think of a manifold, the first thing I think of is a component from a vehicle engine that has many inlets and outlets that lead to one exhaust pipe that blows fumes out of one main pipe.

Sometimes it’s hard to see the good in certain situations such as divorce, poverty, rape, abuse, injustice, pandemics, disasters, accidents, loss, and any other difficulties you can face in life again. That business deal could have gone awry and you may have ended up in jail because there were corrupt parties involved that you did not see when it was proposed to you.

God’s plan for your life is the same it has many inlets and outlets and He is multifaceted. There are experiences, places, events, and people, that all lead to one eternal purpose for your life. So when that thing that happened to you, happened the way it did don’t wail or complain.

Don’t try to make one reason for it. Think about the way God sees things. It happened because it was an inlet or an outlet that would direct your life, on the right path to His eternal plan for you. Knowing that alone is enough to help you trust God and His plan for you.

I am reminded of the scripture, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 KJV

So it’s not just one thing, it’s all things. It’s not just one reason, it’s all reasons you can come up with. When good things happen, they also are inlets and outlets to that eternal purpose for your life.

God is multifaceted. In His infinite wisdom, He saw it fit for you to have certain specific experiences, that you would never forget so that you would eventually praise Him when you reach a particular destination, which you were supposed to be at, according to His plan. And when you look back, you will see that it was all part of the plan.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God sees you through to a glorious end

The next time you are going through something or have made progress, don’t forget that God’s plan prevails over anything you could ever reason something out to be. His word explicitly reveals it to us.

It says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV

As I said before, sometimes it’s hard to see the good in certain situations such as poverty, rape, abuse, injustice, pandemics, disasters, accidents, loss, and any other difficulties you can face in life. However, God can use hurts, seeming disadvantages, promotions, opportunities, and decisions we make to steer us in the direction of His purpose for our lives. That is why it is important to praise Him no matter what happens.

The more you do, the more you will see His plan unfolding before you, and the more you will move through life, enjoying His peace, unsearchable riches and love like never before and knowing that good things are all He has planned for you.
