Many of our families are plagued with hatred, curses, and trends whose root may not even be known. We find ourselves and children suffering the consequences of sacrifices and sins committed long before we were born. Its as though your life is paved out for you based on your parents’ or grandparent’s lives. One thing I have learned in my walk of faith is that being a Christian doesn’t make us immune, God doesn’t promise us that at all. Instead, it gives us an advantage. Let me explain. When we receive Christ, we become a part of a Kingdom whose rules, principles are a contrast to this earth. These are superior to all other kingdoms. We become equipped with authority over darkness and all forces that are out to destroy us.
God has given us His powerful weapons which make us dominate in our operations on this earth. And because these weapons are superior, we do not have to get by but thrive. We cannot live by the same economic principles, same ideologies, same marriage template that has been set into place in this earth. There is a superior way of living that a child of God should live! In the text, He promises you that when we use these weapons, you are able to transform ungodly systems and strongholds that have been set up in your life, your family, your neighbourhood or community. These weapons have the power to pull down every lie contrary to God’s Word and also transform every thought. Go ahead and work this advantage!
