Do not be afraid only believe- 7 incredible lessons from Jairus’ story

Imagine going through a period of uncertainty in your life and being told simply to believe. God is an expert at this. He said these words to Isaac after Abimelech had been chased out from the land God had told him to stay. He said it to Moses who was being pursued by Pharaoh, or his successor, Joshua who took up Moses` role as the leader of God’s people. Imagine the shoes he had to fill
11 Deliverance Prayers from Wicked and Unreasonable Men

And [pray] that we will be rescued from perverse and wicked men; for not everyone has the faith. 2 Thessalonians 3:2 AMP Our theme verse in our prayer for deliverance is founded on Paul’s teaching to the church in Thessalonica. This is a principle Paul often taught other churches he wrote to. The enemy is very deceptive. Some people masquerade as believers, and yet they are not. You have to be very careful who you bring into your circle. I love how the Expanded Bible version translates our study text, “And pray [Paul instructs the church in Thessalonica] that we will be protected [or rescued; delivered] from stubborn [or perverse; worthless; wicked] and evil people, because not all people believe [have faith].” There are agents of the devil, men, and women who have given the devil authority and access into their lives to control them at the cost of their success. Some have made covenants with Satan whilst others have unconsciously opened the door of authority in their lives. As Paul was writing to the church of Corinth, he did not mince his words. It was direct and instructive. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves .’ 1 Corinthians 5:13 What does this tell us? The wicked men reside among us. They are in our churches, in our pews, and sometimes in our ministries. Some people are in bondage because of relationships. The Lord once said to me, sometimes the only breakthrough people need is a breakup. For some, it doesn`t take deliverance services. Whilst some are praying in tongues in our churches; others are chanting spells. I pray that you may learn to discern spirits so that you know who is who. One man who knew how to deal with wickedness, whether in a physical or spiritual battle, is David. David was named a man after God’s own heart; even with the missteps, he took, everything he prayed for came to fruition because of his intentions. We will take the model of David’s prayer in Psalm 35 and apply it to our lives. Before you pray, I suggest you check your intentions. Ask yourself this, who is your enemy, and what are his strategies? Who are you fighting? Remember, that unreasonable boss, colleague, business partner, or even spouse is just the forefront of a principality and power assigned against your life. Disclaimer: We are unapologetic about how we pray. The kingdom of God suffers violent attacks and the violent that take it by force. Although already defeated, the enemy still fashions weapons and is recruiting agents to interfere with what God has accomplished for us. The Word of God clearly states that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Its a spiritual war that we wage against the kingdom of darkness. Even Jesus taught us to pray from deliverance from evil or wickedness. Therefore, we do not sugar coat prayer to make it sound nice or palatable. Prayer for deliverance-Prayer points Dear God, we come boldly before your throne of grace, acknowledging that you are our Father. You are holy Lord, exalted, mighty, and gracious in all your ways. There is no one like you in the heavens, the earth, and beneath the earth. You are the King of kings and Lord of Lords, reign on this earth, Lord. Your Kingdom is established on this earth as you have declared that the earth belongs to you. Father, as your children, we thank you that you have extended that authority in your Kingdom. Whatever thing we agree upon on earth has been declared in heaven, for your answers are yes and amen. We take authority to bind all things undesirable and lose all that the enemy has stolen. Where we have failed, we thank you, Lord, for your grace. Thank you that you have redeemed us from the kingdom of darkness to exert authority over it. I decree and declare that all those who oppose me, the Lord rises against them in Jesus’ Name. I decree and declare that those who try to kill me shall be defeated and disgraced in Jesus’ Name. I decree and declare that those who plot evil against me be turned back and confused in Jesus’ Name. I call forth angels assigned on my life to pursue, strike down and kill the enemy of my progress in Jesus’ Name. I decree destruction for all evil pursuers in Jesus’ Name. I decree that the enemy shall fall into his own trap that he set against me in Jesus’ Name I cancel every evil decree spoken against me in Jesus’ Name. I reverse every false accusation raised against me in Jesus’ Name. O Lord remove every wicked and counterfeit friend from my life in Jesus’ Name. I cancel every form of mockery declared against my life in Jesus’ Name. O Lord, cast forth lightning, and scatter my enemies: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them in the name of Jesus Someone needs to pray this prayer today. Share with a friend
5 incredible lessons The Shunammite woman teaches us

What was stellar about this woman? Her actions! Other than the fact that she was wealthy and influential, her love for God made her stand out. Her revelation of honour was remarkable, serving the man of God and welcomed His presence into her home.
2 ways you can literally self-sabotage your divine healing

There is a lie from the pit of hell that has been preached in our churches about divine healing. Contrary to many other myths about sickness coming from God and teachings about the will of God being a hindrance to healing, there are only just two reasons why people do not receive divine healing. Some people have been told that their reason is…….
3 powerful lessons we learn from Joseph and his multi-colored coat

Many at times when we read about Joseph we are reminded of his resilience, his focus on the vision. I have even heard prophetic messages such as being the “Joseph of the family”, referring to an individual who becomes a vessel that God uses to bring deliverance to a family. Never are we told about his pride. Whilst reading a book, I discovered how prideful Joseph was how this delayed God`s fulfillment of the dream he had seen. From the moment Joseph received the vision that he would be ruler over his family, he boasted to his brothers which made them envious of him. Whether he knew this or not, his high self regard aroused the anger of his brothers. As the last born he was considered inferior, but here he was claiming superiority. His brothers must have thought this seventeen year old must be crazy. Well it wasn`t just Joseph who was guilty of conceitedness, Job in chapter 42:10 mirrors self glorification and selfishness many of us fall prey too. It was only after he had shifted his focus from “me” to “you” that his fortune was restored. After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before Job 42:10 The lesson we learn from Joseph and Job is simple, keep the spotlight on God. We first pick it up Joseph`s pride in Genesis 37:5-9 as he shares the dream with his family. Then Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him even more. He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain in the field, and suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around and bowed down to mine.” “Do you intend to reign over us?” his brothers asked. “Will you actually rule us?” So they hated him even more because of his dream and his statements. How much more could he anger his brothers? Then Joseph had another dream and told it to his brothers. “Look,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” This distasteful trait becomes more evident when he is tempted by Potiphars wife. See how he responds in Genesis 39:9. He says “No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” Wow, how much more egotistical can he be? After saying all he had to say, he mentions sinning against God last. Everything else is about him. Joseph is falsely accused and ends up in jail. I believe God was giving him an opportunity to redeem himself. The king`s cupbearer and baker are locked up in prison where Joseph is too. They both have dreams and approach Joseph for interpretation. Again Josephs arrogance takes the spotlight. In Genesis 40:14 he says “But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.” It’s just me, me, me. No God in there. See what happens after, the cupbearer is released and forgets him. Two years later, Joseph is finally presented before Pharaoh look at what he says in Genesis 41:16 “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” Something had changed in Joseph. And see what happens then, he is made ruler over all of Egypt. The story of Joseph teaches us three things: Favor comes with honor For he who is least among you all is the one who is great. Luke 9:48 Once Joseph recognized the vision as one whose purpose was to glorify God, once he realized that the spotlight was not his but God, once God worked on his heart and it’s selfish content, the future he had seen did not come to fruition. It was until he died to ‘SELF’ that he prospered in the thing God had spoken to him about. Pride can delay our purpose and blessing It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isn’t the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God’s kingdom. Galatians 5:19-21 Joseph had dreams at age seventeen. It wasn`t until he was 30 that he took charge of all of Egypt. Even Jesus explicitly taught his disciples about dying to self. Our hearts ought to be right before God. God wants us to prosper as our soul(mind, will, and emotions) prospers. Let us not harbor fruits of the flesh, pride, hatred, jealousy, envy, lust, unforgiveness. The gifts of God are without repentance “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” Romans 11:29 Although there was delay in what God had called Joseph to do, He still fulfilled it. God is unchanging. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Our past does not revoke. No matter what his brothers did to him, with all the work needed with his pride, God still used him. It was a learning process for Joseph. His character was being molded. Although it wasn`t God`s perfect will, He permitted it to fulfill His purpose. As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people
The Body of Christ is Extremely Hungry

Many of us are starving the church. We are like branches attached to the vine without producing any fruit. We have received Christ as our Lord and savior and it ended there for some of us.
How to always know what is on God’s mind for you

‘But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ‘ 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 KJV
Understanding God`s mind is not based on a hunch or feelings. It goes deeper than that. As believers, we have the advantage of knowing God’s mind which makes us less prone to guessing whether or not what we are about to do is in line with His will for our lives.
Not every failure comes from the devil, some of it is from you
If not every failure comes from the devil and some of the reasons why you have experienced failure in your life are because of you, then you have more control over your life than you think. That’s empowering.
Finding comfort after losing a loved one

The unlikley answer to finding comfort is found in David’s story when he lost his son or when Job lost everything, and when Paul and Silas were behind bars.
